Ciao ragazzi, siete soliti prepararvi meticolosamente alla serata o vivete il party in modo spensierato?
La preparazione è molto importante per un DJ set, cerchiamo sempre di prepararci nel miglior modo possibile con le informazioni che abbiamo (quale DJ suonerà prima/dopo e cosa suonerà ecc). Detto questo è interessante a volte infilare spontaneamente uno o due tracce in un set – è difficile sapere esattamente come la gente reagirà alle tracce che suoni finchè non sei lì sul posto!
Vi informate mai su dove suonerete, sul tipo di pubblico e di cosa tira in quel determinato club?
Certamente! E’ meglio avere qualche informazione, quali DJ sono passati da lì, che tipo di club ecc, e queste cose sono strettamente legate a quella che è la praparazione di un set, ovviamente noi abbiamo sempre il nostro sound ma conoscere l’audience è molto utile per scegliere che tracce suoneremo!
Vi soffermate mai sul dj che apre la serata o preferite entrare ed imporre il vostro sound?
Anche in questo caso, abbiamo sempre il nostro sound, ma il DJ d’apertura può veramente preparare la scena per la serata. In qualche modo il warm up può essere il set più importante della serata, creando la giusta atmosfera nel club e il giusto mood per la nottata!
Vi capita mai di pensare “vogliamo assolutamente suonare questo disco stasera”?
Certo, spesso abbiamo una lista “must play” per alcuni dei nostri set, specialmente per le nostre tracce!
Quando suonate dal vivo avete paura di sbagliare o siete sempre sicuri della vostra performance?
Non credo, di certo commettere un errore può essere orribile, ma è importante essere sicuri di noi stessi quando suoniamo, ci piace provare cose nuove durante i set ed essere preoccupati potrebbe frenarci dal fare questo genere di cose!
Come vi comportate con i promoter e il pubblico, preferite interagire con tutti o volete il vostro spazio?
Amiamo interagire con pubblico e promoters! Ogni volta che qualcuno viene ad approcciarci, sia online che ad un evento, noi ci parliamo sempre! Dopottutto si tratta comunque di persone che ascoltano la nostra musica!

Preperation is quite important for a DJ set, we always try and prepare as much as possible with the information we have (which DJ will be playing before / after and there sound etc). Having said this it is nice to go out sometimes and throw a few spontaneus tracks into a set – its hard to know exactly how a crowd will react to the tracks you play until your actually there!
Do you need information about the place you will play, the type of audience and what pulls in that particular club?
Defintly! Its nice to have a bit of background info, whether it be past DJs for that promotion, or the type of club etc and this kind of links in with set prepartion, of course we will always play ‘our sound’ but knowing the type of audience can really help with the type of tracks we’ll play!
Do you ever dwell on the DJ who opened the evening or would you rather go in and impose your sound?
Again, we will always play our sound, but a warm up DJ can really set the scene for the night ahead. In some ways the warm DJ can be the most important set of the night, setting the right vibe in the club and getting the mood just right!
Do you ever think “I definitely want to play this music tonight”?
Of course, we often have a ‘must play’ list for some of our sets, especially with our own tracks!
When you play live are you afraid of making a mistake or you’re always sure of your performance?
I don’t think so, of course making a mistake would be awful, but its important for us to be confident when we play, its great to try new things during our sets and being afraid would stop you doing that!
What do you do with the promoters and the public, you prefer to interact with all or you just want your space?
We love interacting with the public and promoters! Any time were approached by anyone, whether it be online or at an event, we’ll always speak to them! After all, there the ones listening to our music!
