C’è chi lascia il lavoro per dedicarsi alla musica, o meglio per dedicare la vita alla musica elettronica, ed è questo il caso di Tom Demac. Un buon produttore, uscito su diverse label come Hypercolour, Liebe*Detail, MurMur, My Favorite Robot Records, Suara e Vitalik Recordings. Gli abbiamo chiesto 10 dischi, quelli che mai toglierebbe dalla sua borsa e glieli abbiamo fatti commentare.
1. STL – Where Have You Gone [Smallville]
Every release on Smallville is just amazing, representing Hamburg beautifully on every record. This is no different, STL is a very special producer, this is a low slung afterhours track for trippy end of the night vibes.
Ogni release su Smallville è semplicemente incredibile rappresenta Amburgo splendidamente su ogni record. Questo non è diverso, STL è un produttore molto particolare, si tratta di un brano afterhours per la fine delle vibrazioni della notte.
2. Christopher Rau – Loot [Never Learnt]
Chris is a friend and one of my favourite producers of the last year or so… Always so raw with his productions, and this is one of his most slamming productions. Big distorted 909 drums and an amazing dub techno stab hypnotizing you all the way through… lovely stuff.
Chris è un amico e uno dei miei produttori preferiti dell’ultimo anno o giù di lì… Sempre così crudo con le sue produzioni, e questa è una delle sue produzioni più potenti. Grandi distorsioni dalla 909 drums e un incredibile pugnalata dub techno ipnotizza tutti quanti… bella roba.
3. Tom Demac – Critical Distance Pt.2 [Hypercolour]
Well this was one of those crazy tracks that just happened in a few hours… Recycled a vocal from a really old track of mine and just jammed on some of my analogue synths and this hybrid Drum n Bass / House ting was born.
Beh, questa era uno di quei brani pazzesche che è nato in poche ore… Una voce riciclata da una vecchia traccia e inceppata su alcuni dei miei sintetizzatori analogici e da questo è nato un ibrido Drum n Bass / Casa Ting.
4. Arkist & Komonazmuk – Untitled [Hype Ltd]
Bass / beats producers take to house! In wicked fashion, epic melodies and a bassline to clean your underpants after checkin.. These bass kids make the generic house producers look like amateurs. Top!
I produttori bass / beats la prendono per house! In modo malvagio, melodie epiche e un bassline per pulire le mutande dopo il checkin… Questi ragazzi rendono i produttori generici di house dei dilettanti. Top!
5. James Welsh – The Way (Tom Demac Remix) [Join the Dots]
My live version of this caused quite a stir from my Boiler Room session. Lots of vocal harmonies and a slamming analogue bass, recipe for fun!
La mia versione live di questo ha suscitato molto scalpore nella mia sessione Boiler Room. Un sacco di armonie vocali e un basso analogico, ricetta per il divertimento!
6. Recloose – Don’t Get Me Wrong [Delusions of Grandeur}
Lovely uplifting soul-house vibes from dance music’s favourite Kiwi… Been hammering this at various beach parties, works a treat!
Belle edificanti vibes soul-house da musica dance preferito Kiwi… Martellare questo a diverse feste in spiaggia, funziona a meraviglia!
7. Braille – At a Glance [CDR]
Braille has been on fire since the Hotflush E.P. late last year. Lovely 2 step deep house vibes on this one that just rattle into this Acid bomb from nowhere. Epic!

8. Dense & Pika – Morsecode [CDR]
These 2 are literally on fire at the minute! This is no exception – slamming techno for the main room, dirty as brianna banks.
Questi 2 sono letteralmente in fiamme! Questo non fa eccezione – techno per la main room.
9. Jacques Green – Prism
Been a fan of Jacques 2 step house vibes for a while.. Epic bassy analogue textures at it’s best.
